There's no doubt that one of the factors that drive initiation into the entrepreneurial expenditure is the desire to be your own boss....to have freedom from mediocre managers, fossilized systems that are doomed to fail and to escape outdated structures that stifle an individual's innovation and creativity flow.
But a crucial key to success in the entrepreneur's journey is the ability to set boundaries that keep him/her from erroneously interpreting a desire for freedom from metamorphosing into a license for gross indiscipline and grandiose irresponsibility. This is the bane of failure in the entrepreneur's experience.
When freedom is interpreted as license, the entrepreneur's attitude to work migrates from self discipline to self destruct. An entrepreneur that has fallen into this trap lives like a boss instead of a servant approach in his own business. He/she takes decisions that bother on absolute lack of discretion and incapability to engage consequential, analytical and critical thinking
An entrepreneur that mistakes freedom to be his/her boss for license is doomed to fail and fail woefully! Freedom comes with great responsibility while license comes with a sense of entitlement. Money cannot make a person responsible. It takes crucial ability to embrace self discipline to become a disciplines person. An entrepreneur that is crudely indiscipline in the teething stage if the business will surely transform into a monumental wreckage as soon as the business begins to show signs of growth!
