Entrepreneurial Success: Interest is NOT Enough!

Sustainable Entrepreneurs exploits is not predicated on interests alone. A business that takes off simply on the platform of "interests" is not likely to go far into its future. When entrepreneurs get stuck in their expedition, sometimes the business ttransform to being grounded because the interest has waned. This misadventure in entrepreneurial success often arises because the entrepreneur has made a deadly substitution... Interest has been substituted for passion.

Interest can die out pretty as quickly as it starts once the parameters that trigger it are removed. When businesses simply starts based solely on interest, the entrepreneur easily gives up in the face of adversity in the marketplace, low productivity, average turn over, disappointment, unmet expectations, financial deficits...

It takes more than interests to start, grow a vibrant enterprise and sustain it to hold its own in the market. An entrepreneur that embraces interests has bought a one way ticket to hardship. Interest is not an entirely bad factor. Yes entrepreneurs need it but it should not be "the foundational" reason to set off on such a very crucial journey!

However, even if the entrepreneur is propelled by interests to consider the propability of engaging in a particular type of business, it must be clearly understood that the first thing to do is to ask the critical question, "do I have the ability to start, grow and sustain this business?" Entrepreneurship is not a past time, hobby or a part time vocation. Entrepreneurship is a serious calling and interest is definitely NEVER enough to make a success of it! #LeadershipBites #AlfredOladapo #GoGetSkills!
